BORIVLI, AUGUST 4, 2011: On August 2, 2011 fifty six students’ from the tribal regions of Maharashtra were rewarded with a certificate on the completion of their training programme.
 
The students who belonged to the tribal region of Jawhar, Amravati, Dhanu and Talasari were trained in three domains they choose, namely. Welding, Automobile four wheeler, and Hotel Management. The entire program which is supported by MoRD (Ministry of Rural Development) and DB Tech is free of cost which includes training, uniform, food, and boarding facilities.
 
Under the leadership and guidance of the Director of the Institute Fr. Anthony Santarita, fifty students completed three months training in their respective domains. These students expressed their gratitude towards the care and concern that they received form the institute. Apart from the training many of the students received free driving classes along with the licence at the end of the programme. Twenty six students have been placed in different companies and the rest have given their interviews and are waiting for the appointment letters.
 
The institute is grateful to Fr. Annaclette D'mello, Melwin Pangya, and the team from Jawhar Whada for mobilizing students for the program and Mr. Dayanand Patil (Development Officer) and the Faculties for their hard work that they put in to make this batch a success.
