CHOTTAUDEPUR, AUGUST 18, 2011: On August 16, 2011 amidst the Parish Feast celebrations, the first and only Rathwi Bible, DevniVaat, in the folklore or storytelling style was released by Fr. Kenneth Pereira sdb at Chhotaudepur, through all the efforts put in and initiated by Fr. Elson, Fr. Ivan, Fr. James and Mr. Harsing who did the translation from the Gujarati Bible.
  
The Bible contains the four gospels in the storytelling style of the tribal traditions and is adapted for simple reading for all age groups. This first edition of five hundred copies will stand in good stead of making God’s Word better known and spread. This tremendous work has gone through a long phase of meticulous translations and re-editing’s to bring it to its completion.
