KURLA, OCTOBER 05, 2011: "Variety is the spice of life" they say and at the Hospitality Department of Don Bosco College, Kurla they take it seriously. So, what's Cooking?

The purpose of the School of Empowerment is to offer opportunities to anyone in the skills sector especially to acquire vocational skills for self development and launch out in a new way thus creating new business ventures. Since this school is situated in DBCL the participant has the facility to draw on entrepreneurship development consultancy available at our Centre for Social Change.

The participants listened eagerly to the instructions given as the mysteries of the culinary world were unraveled. Chef Harpal Singh demonstrated the "Mother Gravies" of Indian Cuisine – delectable makhani, onion and tomato gravy, yellow gravy and yakni. He then proceeded to make extensions of these into a plethora of mouth watering Indian specialty cuisine. The transformation had begun.
At DBCL you still hear machines grind, saws buzz and motors whine but to that you'll smell the rich aromas of delicious cuisines and you'll ask; "What's Cooking?"
