The dignitaries were escorted to the Assembly hall, where they lit the lamp after the School Prayers. The Manager, Fr. Bonnie Borges felicitated the guests of honour with floral bouquets.
A short programme was held to welcome the esteemed guests.
Prayer is an expression from the heart and what better way to express our desires to the almighty than through a prayer dance, which was the first programme of the day. This was followed by a graceful ballet by the students of Class VI which was choreographed and performed through mime and acting, and set to joyful music.
Music does not need language and students of Class VI taught the world to sing through their action song, `I'd like to teach the world to sing'. The School Orchestra played the song, ` I have a dream.'
Dr. Subhash Kumar then addressed the gathering. He commended the students on their performances and mentioned that just as in an orchestra, different instruments join together to form harmonious music, so also in a school all work together with whatever talents they have.
No programme is complete without acknowledging gratitude. The Principal, Fr. Anthony Fonseca then delivered the Vote of Thanks.
The National Anthem was sung reverently and the team of inspectors were led to the Principal's office.
