AHMEDNAGAR, MARCH 15, 2012: On March 11, 2012 the youth group of Don Bosco Chruch, Savedi as an outreach programme during the Lenten season went to visit the patients at the Vikhe Patil Hospital, Ahmednagar. The group was accompanied by Fr. James Nigrel the youth coordinator.
This was our first experience visiting patients in the hospital. The youth visited over sixty patients in the gents and ladies ward. We spoke to each patient and prayed over them. Many of them were suffering with Harniya, Typhoid and Kidney stones and were operated for different tumours. Some were even suffering from diabetes.
Seeing the suffering of the patients we were moved with tears. As we left the hospital we could see a glow of light on their faces. The Doctors along with the matron of the hospital Sr. Jaya Gaikwad thanked the youth of our parish for their visit.
