JAITALA, APRIL 17, 2012: On April 15, 2012 the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Jaitala, was bubbling with joy as we had the confirmation of five of our candidates. The Holy Eucharist began with a procession. The sacrament of Confirmation was confirmed by Archbishop Rt. Rev .Abraham Vernagupam. In his homily Archbishop exhalted the candidates and the parishioners to receive the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit, he also emphasized to use these gifts and the fruits in our day to day living.The Confirmation candidates were well prepared by their catechism teachers. Apart from the Sunday Catechism classes, there was an intense week progamme organized by the Parish Priest and his team. The mass was well animated by the Confirmation children. They prayed for the New Heart and Spirit, so that the may be true disciples of Christ. The ceremony was made livelier by the melodious singing of the youth choir. It only showed that the Spirit was not only present with the candidates but with the entire parish community.
May the Holy Spirit reign in our Parish and may all of us become true Soldiers of Christ by our exemplary lives.
