BIS # 3582 FAREWELL TO MR. ALEX TILL WE MEET AGAIN

by BIS correspondent

BORIVLI- MUMBAI, JULY 26, 2013: With tears in the eyes and smiles on the lips of all at Don Bosco High School, Borivli, the students and staff bid a fond farewell to Alex Serrao (Grade IV employee) on 24th July 2013. Having served the School for 28 long years, it is finally the time for him to sit back and enjoy the fruits of his hard work and labour.

A short program was held in his honour in the school hall in presence of the management, staff and the students. The camaraderie that he shares with the students was apparent in the way the students welcomed him in the hall.

What followed then was an episode that will remain alive in his memory for a long time. A PowerPoint presentation took all present down the memory lane and invigorated his memory too. Father William Falcao, the Rector, very rightly called him the pillar of the school. A couple of dances added a festive touch to the whole event. All the love that he received brought a tear of gratitude in his eyes. Astoundingly, the program did not end on a sad note as always expected in a farewell. There was a piece of good news too. Alex is now appointed as an employee in the college section.

On behalf of the staff and students, we wish him a pleasant life ahead, and also wishing him the best in his new endeavours.
