MATUNGA-MUMBAI, JULY 29, 2013: The Yellow House of Don Bosco High School, Matunga offered a presentation on Don Peter Ricaldone, the 4th successor of Don Bosco and their house patron at the school assembly on 23rd July2013. A street play, snippets from the life of Fr. Peter Ricaldone, and a flash mob together with a lively dance were the highlights of the morning.
The assembly began with a yoga exercise, as is now the feature of every assembly. This was followed by a street play that emphasized the negative influence of stress, indiscipline and bad language on the youth and how Don Bosco and his Salesians are working with the youth to give them a serene and healthy environment to grow. The apt enactment of the life of Fr. Peter Ricaldone brought out some of his interesting qualities, namely, his love for boys, his love for practical education, his serene and calm nature and his authorship of books.
The enactment was followed by a flash mob dance by the Yellow House students. They danced to convey the message of youthful vigour which Fr. Peter Ricaldone spoke of. Fr Wilfred D'Souza, the Rector praised the Yellow House teachers and students for their wonderful performance and the hard work they put in. He told the students that God has a plan for each one of them. He said, "God has a plan for each and every one of us. We never know what we may become one day." The Principal, Fr Bosco D'Mello, congratulated the Yellow House for their fine performance and the wonderful decoration of the hall and the school.
The assembly reached a high standard that left all waiting to see what the other three houses have to offer in their respective presentations.
