BIS # 3604 GRANDPARENTS DAY CELEBRATION

MATUNGA-MUMBAI, AUGUST 2, 2013: When God created Grandparents He blessed our lives with love. To share this love in a special way the Primary Section of Don Bosco High School, Matunga celebrated Grandparents Day for the second consecutive year on Saturday, July 27th, 2013. The grandparents of all the students in the primary section were invited class by class, to be entertained by the little ones who had specially been trained by their teachers to sing and dance on this occasion. After the traditional lighting of the lamp and a prayer song and dance the day kicked off to a joyous start. Besides performances by the students on stage there were games organized for the guests.

The Head Teacher of the Primary Section, Mrs. Winifred Fernandes took all present down memory lane when she spoke about her grandmother. The guests shaking a leg on stage with their grandchildren was a sight to behold! The grandparents present expressed their gratitude for all that the school does for their grandchildren.

This occasion has become memorable for the students and their grandparents. It has gone a long way in strengthening the bond between the school and the families of the students.
