BIS # 4006 NURTURING THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW

by Neelam Rodrigues

ANDHERI-MUMBAI, JUNE 27, 2014: The Student Council Members and student representatives of Don Bosco High School, Borivali and Dominic Savio High School, Andheri attended a four day Leadership Camp which was organised by Adhyayan and the facilitators from the Central School of Drama, London from  June 21- 25, 2014, at Dominic Savio High School, Andheri.

It was an enjoyable yet instructive experience for those who attended. The leader in each of the participants was brought out through thought provoking discussions, team building activities and innovative games like 'Ultimate Ninja' which was undoubtedly the highlight. The facilitators; Chantal, Janet, Grace and Harshil organised each session flawlessly.

The camp mainly focussed on developing key leadership qualities like teamwork, public speaking and essential communication skills. The students were encouraged to think about what improvements could be made in their school and how they could work to achieve it. They were then asked to prepare presentations for the same. The World Conference and the Courtroom Scene were unforgettable. All the hard work and honing of leadership skills culminated in a presentation session, where students put forth their suggestions before their Principals through innovative means like role play and advertisements. It was indeed a perfect ending to the camp.
