PUNE-MAHARASHTRA, JULY 2, 2014: Don Bosco Catechetical Centre, Pune organized a three-day seminar for students of Std X of St. Joseph's Girls School, Panchgani from June 27-29, 2014. The purpose of the seminar was to give the pupils an orientation to life and help them to build their personality and character. Its aim was to help students discover themselves.
Ms. Joanna Almeida, introduced the session on 'Girl Talk,' dealing with issues related to girls. It helped the girl students to appreciate their feminity. Cl. Mylin Noronha led the students on an inward and outward journey of life. Cl. Sandesh Fernandes and Cl. Jason Pinto conducted an interactive session on the value of honesty through action songs and value based games. They also animated a group building exercise to help the group feel a sense of oneness.
Cl. Ranson D'souza encouraged the students to have big dreams, to think big and face obstacles in life as they come. He focussed on positive thinking and self-confidence. Kudos to Fr. Edison Fernandes and Cl.Jacob Pallaparambil for their meticulous planning and organization in helping the teens to discover themselves and come to a better appreciation of themselves.
