BIS # 4017 LEADERS TRAINING AT BORIVLI

BORIVLI –MUMBAI, JULY 3, 2014: A Leadership training session was organised for all the School Leaders of Don Bosco, Borivli on Saturday, the June 28, 2014. Mr. Nelson Rais, Ms. Lynette Sequeira, Ms. Casilda Falcao and Ms. Savlee Desai conducted an interactive training session for the middle school leaders and Mr. Mark Pereira facilitated the training of the High School leaders. Exemplary Leaders of the world were presented as role-models to the young boys. Various qualities of a leader like leading by example, decisiveness, team-building and co-ordination were discussed. Innovative activities and games ensured that there never was a dull moment.

Entertaining yet instructive videos helped the younger leaders of the middle school understand their role as leaders and the concept of team-work. The problems that leaders face were discussed and possible solutions to deal with them were suggested. Plans for the improvement of school standards were proposed. The students were also presented with a few tips on Public Speaking, as this would be a prerequisite for them as leaders. At the end of the session, the leaders felt more capable, responsible and enlightened. They were confident about dealing with the challenges that they were to face in the academic year that lay ahead.
