SAVEDI-AHMEDNAGAR, DECEMBER 26, 2014: On December 22, 2014, Don Bosco English Medium School, Savedi celebrated its Annual Sports Day. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. 
Gaikwad, API (Assistant Police Inspector) of Tofkana Police Station Ahmednagar. The Guests of honour were Fr. Manuel Murzello, Fr. Francis Fernandes and Fr. Cedrick Sankul. Teacher Judit was the compere for the Sports Day.
The programme started with students taking the Chief Guest and the guests of honour to the stage in parade. The students presented a welcome prayer dance along with a message on Christmas. The lamp was lit by all the dignitaries. The March past was then performed by the four houses that was judged by Mr. Gaikwad. The Chief Guest in his speech guided the students and wished them luck.
The various sports events like running race, sack race, high jump, tug- of – war etc were then conducted. The winners were thereafter honoured with gifts and certificates. Tr. Shaila Missal ended the programme with vote of thanks and the students were given snacks as the part of Christmas celebration.
In the evening, the Don Bosco Bhavan boarders had the celebration of the Christmas Tree before they could leave for their Christmas holidays. The programme began at 7:30 p.m. with a prayer service that created a spirit of Christmas. They then cut a cake to celebrate the birth of Jesus. After which each team sang Christmas carols to honour the arrival of baby Jesus. Br. Alex Carvalho then conducted some party games for the boarders.
The main attraction of the programme was the arrival of Santa Claus, who came with lot of gifts for the boarders which he distributed to each one of them. This was followed by the agape where all the boarders and the superiors ate together. The dance session brought the programme to its end.
