NERUL-MUMBAI, JANUARY 23, 2015: The value education assembly programme on "Punishment in Don Bosco's Educative Method" was presented by the students of class I A on January 20, 2015 at Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul.
The students were trained by their class teacher Ms. Debjani under the guidance of the Supervisor Adarsh Ma'am. The programme began with the School Prayer followed by School Anthem.
The audience was introduced to the two most important people who moulded the mind of Don Bosco, Jesus and his mother, Mamma Margaret. The teachings of his mother and the values learned through the dream at the age of 9 were the two things that Little John always implemented in his life.
The Skit "The Prisoners Take A Walk" depicted how Don Bosco through the Preventive System of Education influenced and helped the prisoners to give up their wrong ways. The views of Don Bosco with regards to punishment were clearly explained through the skit. The students sang the song "It took one child to make a difference". The teacher had written the poem and 4 children recited the 4 paragraphs of the poem while the Chorus lines were sung by rest of the students of the class.
The noon talk was delivered by the Primary Supervisor, Ms. Adarsh Gupta. The assembly programme ended with a vote of thanks by Tr. Debjani followed by the instructions by Fr.Principal.
43 out of 45 students of the class participated in the programme. Students were appreciated for their performance. Overall the programme was a great success.
