SATPUR, AUGUST 22, 2015: "Mary did it all," was Saint Don Bosco's firm conviction in all his apostolates towards the youth.
With the same conviction the faithful of Saint Dominic Savio Church, Satpur gathered to celebrate the solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Father Dominic Lisboa, the principal celebrant at the Holy Eucharistic celebration, led a procession with the statute of Our Blessed Mother.
Father Lisboa – in his homily - recalled the great honour bestowed on Mary for her role in the redemption of mankind. Hence 'all generations will call her blessed', he said.
Father Lisboa added that, 'God favours each one of us, however we must respond to him like Mary.'
The Holy Eucharist was animated by the youth.
A short cultural programme and party games followed the Eucharistic celebration.
Students who obtained 70% marks and above during the last academic year were also felicitated.
