MUMBAI, DEC 7, 2015: Don Bosco Balprafulta in collaboration with Shelter Don Bosco opened Bosco Detoxification Center on November 26 at Antop Hill, to help youth combat the menace of substance abuse.
The inauguration began with a short prayer service, which was followed by the official inauguration of the house. Father Diego Nunes from St. Dominic Savio Church declared the house open and blessed it with holy water. The boys of Shelter Don Bosco were also present for the inauguration.
The center will give youth who are struggling to break the substance-habit, a chance to life anew. Along with treatment, the boys will also be able to learn some skills and get basic education. At present there are five boys who have begun the treatment.
