MUMBAI, FEB 8, 2016: The management, staff and senior students of Don Bosco Junior College, Borivli gave the students of standard twelve a fitting farewell with a ceremony entitled, 'Goodbyes are not forever' that featured prayer, song and dance on February 5.

The students walked into the institute smartly dressed in suits, sarees and other formal attire. Each class entered the hall along with their class teachers. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony by the management, class teachers and the PTA.

This was followed by a prayer service, thanking the Lord for the two years that the students spent at the institute, as well as asking for the Lords guidance and protection in their life ahead. A foot thumping dance performance by the eleventh standard students enlivened the hall.

It was followed by a medley of english and hindi songs performed by the eleventh standard students who were trained under the guidance of the Proforce team. The principal, Father Donald Fernandez then addressed the students. He recited a poem that addressed the world to teach the students through the journey of life but in a gentle manner. Each student was then given a memento as a token of love from the college.

The rector, Father William Falcao also addressed the students and adviced them to always keep God at the centre of their lives. Two students, Abhishek Gurnani and Sania Pinto, also shared the memories of their time at the institute and thanked the principal, management and the staff for all their hard work.
