MUMBAI, AUG 30, 2017: As part of their Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the secondary section of Don Bosco High School in Matunga participated in an inter-school maths and science fair, which included exhibitions and competitions, coupled with Bosco Kala Utsav on August 24.
The Maths and Science exhibition highlighted the wealth of academic talent in the youth of today. The science elocution, poster competition, poetry composition and recitation competition presented students with an opportunity to compete in a host of events. Students also competed in a maths and science quiz.
Enthusiastic participants from neighbouring schools and their equally innovative exhibits caught the eye of the visitors and judges at the venue. Winners from different schools walked home with certificates and mementos in recognition of their talent.
In the Bosco Kala Utsav, which is a regular feature in the school calendar, students participated in an art and craft competition, language games, english elocution and a singing competition. A Readathon gave youth the chance to develop a taste for reading.
The student council joined hands with the organising committee and diligently helped in ensuring that all the events took place without a hitch. The judges, Rajesh Dixit and Vibha Gupta commended the organisers and participants.
Don Bosco Matunga boasts of fostering all-round development of its students by striking a balance between syllabus, extra-curricular and inter-school activities. This year's Bosco Kala Utsav certainly did that.
