HALIYAL, FEB 27, 2018: St. Joseph Industrial Training Institute (SJITI) was awarded as best performing institute at the 10th National Toyota Technical Education Programme (T-TEP) 2018 at Deshpande Private, Industrial Training Institute, Haliyal, Karnataka on February 21.
Students from SJITI participated in T-TEP Instructors Skills Contest (TISC), which is an initiative to showcase and to recognise their skills. The contests were held in four categories: General Technician Instructors (GT T- TEP institute), Body Instructor and Paint Instructor (BP T-TEP institutes) and Service Advisor (SA T-TEP institutes). The contest focuses on the evaluation of instructors on various T-TEP topics.
Shekar Karkera represented SJITI on the categories of Auto Body Instructor. Karkera won the first runner-up in the Auto Body Instructors category. T-TEP is a very well established programme of Toyota with 48 institutes, which includes 22 General T-TEP, 17 Body and Paint T-TEP and nine SA T-TEP programmes running productively across India. The objective of the programme is to support and enhance skill for employability of the students to meet the industry requirement.
