BIS #5314 ST. JOSEPH ITI BAGS BEST PERFORMING INSTITUTE AWARD

HALIYAL, FEB 27, 2018: St. Joseph Industrial Training Institute (SJITI) was awarded as best performing institute at the 10th National Toyota Technical Education Programme (T-TEP) 2018 at Deshpande Private, Industrial Training Institute, Haliyal, Karnataka on February 21.

Students from SJITI participated in T-TEP Instructors Skills Contest (TISC), which is an initiative to showcase and to recognise their skills. The contests were held in four categories: General Technician Instructors (GT T- TEP institute), Body Instructor and Paint Instructor (BP T-TEP institutes) and Service Advisor (SA T-TEP institutes). The contest focuses on the evaluation of instructors on various T-TEP topics. 

Shekar Karkera represented SJITI on the categories of Auto Body Instructor. Karkera won the first runner-up in the Auto Body Instructors category. T-TEP is a very well established programme of Toyota with 48 institutes, which includes 22 General T-TEP, 17 Body and Paint T-TEP and nine SA T-TEP programmes running productively across India. The objective of the programme is to support and enhance skill for employability of the students to meet the industry requirement. 

St Joseph Industrial Training Institute has been part of this programme since 2006 for General Technician and 2015 for Automotive Body and Paint Repair. Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd also conducted sustenance evaluation of SJITI which had parameters like training, operation, manpower, Assest, Kaizen and safety. On the basis of these parameters, St. Joseph’s ITI was also awarded as the Best Performing Institute 2017 for T-TEP Facilities and Operation Sustenance under the category of Automotive Body and Paint Repair for the west region.
