AHMEDNAGAR, JUNE 29, 2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in its efforts towards working for a greener planet, inaugurated a ‘Rural Biogas Project’ for 30 poor farmers in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra, to be implemented by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), a partner organisation of DBDS.
Father Rolvin D’Mello, Executive Director – DBDS, speaking at the inauguration of the project, said that it was the need of the hour. He also thanked the funding organisation Van Amerigen Foundation for their support and especially Clarence for his unrelenting help. The other esteemed guests to grace the event were, Father George D’Abreo, Director – BGVK, Murlidar Pallve, President – Village Watershed Committee, and two German students, Nadine and Lisa.

We are very fortunate to have the Biogas project in our village and thank the Foundation for this thoughtful initiative,” Father D’Abreo, said.
Farmers from five different villages were very grateful to Don Bosco and Van Amerigen Foundation for the wonderful and sustainable intervention.
