CHHOTAUDEPUR, JULY 9, 2018: The Salesian mission of Gujarat, celebrated the feast of Saint Domnic Savio on July 6 at Don Bosco Chottaudepur.

The school marked the solemn event in the morning, while the parish celebrated the feast in the evening. Father Brian Boothello, the school animator,  addressed the students on the leadership skills of St Domnic Savio. He encouraged them to follow his example and to use his principles in carrying out the various responsibilities they would be entrusted with during the year, with a touch of holiness.

An oath-taking ceremony followed. The elected leaders, house captains, and monitors of each class came forward to pledge their legiance to the func
tioning and responsibilities of the school in the academic year.

The parishoners and boarders of Don Bosco and Aradhna Sadan gathered together in prayer in the evening, through their participation in the Holy Eucharist. Father Shaun D’Lima in his homily, reflected on the Domnic Savio way, contextualizing the culture and change that can be brought about by taking the example of this little giant Saint.

The boarding leaders during the Eucharistic celebration took oath and pledged to carry out their responsibilities faithfully. There was also the inauguration of the boarding house system.
