NAVI MUMBAI, JULY 9, 2018: Students, staff and management of Don Bosco, Nerul celebrated the feast of Saint Dominic Savio on July 6, in a programme which began with a prayer service for the non-catholics and Holy Mass for the catholics.
The students listened attentively as Father Donald Fernandez, the principal, gave a glimpse into the short but meaningful life of the young saint through a story. The school choir paid a solemn tribute by singing a hymn dedicated to the revered saint of the teenagers.
A bouquet of activities was conducted for the students. The school building and the turf court saw cheerful and lively participation. The pre-primary and lower primary students participated by singing hymns, drawing and colouring competitions and enjoyed watching movies in their classrooms. The outdoor games festival, ‘Monsoon Madness’ was conducted for students of class five to twelve.
Joyful shouts and competitive spirit was on display as students contested in the games of football, handball and cricket bowl out. A flash mob of dancers concluded the celebration. As sweets were distributed to the students, the principal presented the values of ‘self-control and discipline’ as the take away of the day.
