SAVEDI, JULY 28, 2008: Sunday, July 27, was a day of great joy for all the Catechism teachers and students of Don Bosco Savedi, Ahmednagar, as it had the official inauguration of the Sunday School for the year 2008-09. The celebration began with the solemn Eucharist in the school hall. During the homily, the main celebrant, Fr. William Falcao stressed the importance of Faith formation. After the homily there was an ‘Oath Ceremony’ for the Sunday School teachers and students. The celebration concluded with distribution of sweets to all the Sunday School student
s after the Eucharist and was followed by a tea party for the teachers. The total number of students attending Sunday School is 110: 35 preparing for Confirmation, 40 for first Holy Communion and 35 in the Post Communion group. As a preparation for the same, on July 20, there was a one day course on Catechism animated by Fr. Milton Gonsalves of the Vasai Diocese for the Sunday School teachers of the three Salesian parishes of Ahmednagar, namely, St. Anne's, St. John, Bhingar and Don Bosco, Savedi. The course was well appreciated by all those who attended it.
