Royal D’Abreo sdb JYOTI, JUNE 9, 2009: ‘Whole hearted participation and bonding in friendship’ rightly put by Fr. Gregory D’Cunha, Parish priest, served as a theme for the summer camp at Our Lady of Light parish, Jyoti held between April 15 and May 23, 2009. The inaugural day of the summer camp saw an enrolment of at least 80 children. Many fun filled 
activities like cooking competition, singing, dancing, and drawing were conducted for the children. Besides games, a variety of competitions were also held to enhance the integral development of children. Activities highly appreciated by the children were those of trekking, beach outings and sports tournaments. Among the many activities conducted, the children were taken to a picnic to Boscowadi- Uttan on May 21. The children were enthusiastic and regular for the club. The summer camp surely boosted their confidence and added to the grow and glow factor of the children. A big thank you to Cl. Renold Lemos, Dn. Royal D’Abreo and youth volunteers of the parish who helped make the summer camp at the parish a grand success.
