Roshan Gonsalves sdb MUMBAI, JUNE 24, 2009: The new academic year in Shelter Don Bosco has begun well as almost all the boys are attending regular school. 7 boys have been reunited with their families. The famous June 19 – 20 Monthly Mela was unique in its own way. Special attention was given for health and hygiene. Rugged street boys were encouraged to have good bath and were awarded decent clothes. Doctors from Sion hospital offered medical treatment for all sick and injured boys who directly came from the street. During the mela smaller boys were separated from the bigger boys and given special attention. Result was overwhelming as 30 boys showed their desire to give up the street life and begin a new life in Maria Ashiana, Lonavla.
