NERUL, NOVEMBER 12, 2009: The long-awaited 'DON BOSCO MUSICAL EVENING' was held on November 7, 2009. The otherwise silent Don Bosco grounds, nestled in the heart of Sector 42, Nerul, resounded with music, beckoning to the people and the response to that call was tremendous. Hundreds of people, parents and children entered the grounds in anticipation of a fun-filled evening.
Fr. Vivian, the Manager of the school, welcomed one and all. Fr. Vivian declared the evening open by releasing a bunch of tri-coloured balloons in the sky.
After invoking Gods blessing through song, the 'Yogesh Tiruwa' Orchestra played a medley of songs. Their talented singers, dancers and mimicry artistes, kept the crowd entertained. Some children hit the dance floor and danced to the catchy numbers.
Three dances performed by the students of Don Bosco, trained by the Hindol Dance Academy enthralled one and all. People clapped in encouragement, many joined in the dance.
The food and refreshment stalls witnessed hungry crowds queuing up to have a taste of China, Pizza, sandwiches, cold drinks and mouth - watering biryani.
The stalls selling accessories and clothes and one which analysed hair and skin catered to the fashion-conscious section. The tatoo stall attracted both children and adults. Smaller children enjoyed the train ride and jumping on the inflated jumping area.
The finale comprised of the Staff and students and their parents of Don Bosco School, letting go of their inhibitions and dancing to the final beats of the Orchestra.
The programme ended at 10pm but its just a beginning to the many more Don Bosco School will organize in the future. People left with a smile on their faces taking with them memories of a fun filled Family gathering - the Family and friends of Don Bosco School.
