LONAVLA, NOVEMBER 30, 2009: Exotic aroma, tantalizing tastes and no menu card. This is how one could describe the cooking competition conducted for the scouts of Don Bosco, Lonavla.

November 26, 2009, saw thirty or so young budding scouts in four different Patrols, trying their stunts and making yummy dishes. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Principal and some of the students of the School and College who offered their whole hearted co-operation and encouragement to the scouts. The Scouts prepared dishes, from Maharashtrian bhaji to Goan fish curry, from chicken tikka to panner tikka and not forgetting the biryani with raita. The event would be incomplete if the fruit salad, kheer and Punjabi Lassi are not spoken of.

The Cooking Competition was a venture to help Scouts to become independent and to work as a team. The Scouts have learned a lot and utilized their talent of cooking. This time around one can surely say ‘No one can eat just one’!
