PUNE, JANUARY 11, 2010: On of January 8, 2010 the chapel at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Pune was heaving with youngsters from City Church who had come for a recollection to the Catechetical Centre at DBYC, the youth of Sacred Heart Parish, Yerwada; the FMA sisters and the community of Don Bosco Youth Centre gathered for mass that was to be celebrated by the two newly ordained priests: Fr. Royal D'Abreo and Fr. Briston Britto.
Fr. Briston Britto celebrated the Eucharist and Fr. Royal preached the homily highlighting on the theme of his ordination and also shared, how he felt called and how he responded to this call.
It was a beautiful opportunity for the youngsters to reflect on the divine plan of God in their lives. The mass was animated well by the brothers based on the theme “Vocation”.
After the Eucharistic celebration the community felicitated the two Priests with the cutting of the cake followed by words of appreciation and welcome which concluded with a short action song that kept all toes on the floor.
May the dynamism and the faithfulness of these new priests invite many more youngsters to work in the vineyard of the Lord.
