LONAVALA, JUNE 24, 2010: June 23, 2010 marked a very important day in Don Bosco Lonavla as the aspirants and apostolic boys felicitated their confessor who they lovingly call Fr. Salu.
June 23 is the feast of Saint Joseph Cafasso, the confessor of Don Bosco. It was under the guidance of Don Cafasso that Don Bosco undertook the challenge of working with poor youngsters and thus led to the foundation of the society of St. Francis D’sales. As Salesians we owe a word of gratitude to Don Cafasso. To make this event more meaningful the aspirants gathered around their ‘surf excel of their souls’ by animating the Holy Eucharist and decorating the notice-boards.
Fr. Salu in his homily encouraged the aspirants and apostolic boys to be shining examples of Christ and have great devotion towards Mother Mary. He wished the aspirants and apostolic boy’s peace and joy, during their stay here in Lonavala.
As Don Cafasso would say, “We are born to love, we live to love, and we will die to love still more”.
