VIRAR, JULY 13, 2010: On Sunday, July 11, 2010, the children who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion and Confirmation in our Resurrection Parish were formally received through the rite of acceptance during the Eucharist.
The candidates were assured of the support of faith and love from their family and friends. The children expressed their desire to receive the sacrament. The celebrant exhorted the parents to be a role model to their children. He pointed out that teachers instruct the children for a limited period of time but parents, by their own lives can be the greatest evangelist in a child's life. He also mentioned to the parents the importance of the family rosary, reading the Word of God and attending SCC Meetings as a way of preparing the children for the sacrament.
