BORIVLI, JULY 30, 2010: The title is representative of the attitude of parents all over the world. It simply means that they want their children’s wishes to be fulfilled first because their own wishes can wait. In order to show their gratitude for this selfless behavior and unconditional love of their parents the Sunday School Children along with their teachers and the youth of the parish put up a small felicitation program on July 25, 2010.
The evening began by seeking God’s blessings with the celebration of the Eucharist. Our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ronald Menezes during his homily gave special guidelines not only to parents but also to the children. After the Eucharist the parents were led to the hall where the felicitation program began. It was there that the children irrespective of their ages performed and show- cased their talents in singing, dancing as well as acting… all this just to give their mummies and daddies a small surprise and to let them know that they were SPECIAL.
The day ended with the children giving Big Hugs to their parents and wishing them “HAPPY PARENTS DAY”. Everyone went home contended, happy and most of all the parents as well as the children remembered to take home one piece of advice...... FAMILY FIRST..
