NASHIK, AUGUST 16, 2010: August 13, 2010 was a day to remember with Fr. Vaclav Klement at STI Nashik. The day began with the Eucharist at 7.30 am. Fr Vaclav Klement in his homily spelt the need and the importance of generosity and self-sacrifice for the missions. He emphasised that ‘Missions does not entail a going out to the people but rather it begins with a deep yearning for God and the desire to spread His Kingdom.
After the Eucharist, he made a short visit to Satpur and at 11.15 am, he visited STI to address the novices. Fr Solomon Rapol, the Rector and Novice Master of Salesian Training Institute, welcomed him in the name of the community. In his talk to the novices he stressed on the primacy of God in one’s life and the need to be passionate about one’s vocation through prayer and study and reflection. The session was interactive in nature and the novices as well as the Councillor had time to ask and answer questions. The highlight of the day was the spirit of togetherness and the spirit of initiative seen in the preparation for the visit of Fr. Vaclav. We express our gratitude to Fr. Vaclav who made it an enriching morning with his presence and his insight to Mission.
