BIS #2030 BOSCO BOYS HOME WAS GRACED BY THE VISIT OF FR. REGIONAL

BORIVILI, SEPTEMBER 7, 2010: Bosco Boys Home Borivili was graced with the visit of Rev Fr. Maria Aarokiam Kanaga, Regional of the South Asia on August 31, 2010. Fr. Regional arrived early morning at 6:15 am. He joined the community for meditation, followed by the Eucharistic celebration along with the Boarders. After the Eucharist Fr. Regional was led to the Dining Room where a sumptuous Breakfast was prepared with some hot tea/coffee. He then attended the Assembly held for the students of the Technical trade and delivered his message that God loves everyone and that Rector Major cares for all the students.

Fr. Regional then met the community as a whole to discuss on the functioning of the house, present were Fr. Anthony Santarita (Director) Fr. Anaclete Dmello (Incharge Valvanda Mokhada) Fr. Bastin Thomas (Administration) Br. Michael Condillac, Br. Alex Gonsalves, Br. Richard Burkhao, the conference with the Community ended with the reading of the house documents.

At 9:30 am Fr. Regional assisted by Fr. Anthony Santarita visited the entire premises and the various workshops viz. Automobile, Electrician, Automobile, AC /Refrigeration, and Sankalp Hotel Management. Fr. Regional interacted with the Trainers as well as the students; he also visited the new project MoRD BASE which is the first batch taken up by the Institute catering to the need of hundred and one underprivileged youth of Valvanda Mokhada.

It was indeed a golden opportunity for all the staff of Bosco Boys Home to interact with Fr. Regional the message was simple but it was delivered in a very beautiful way he said “Rector Major loves you”. At 10:30 pm he met the entire staff. Each staff introduced themselves and gave a brief description of the service that they render in their respective work place.

At 12:30 pm the community along with Fr. Regional had delicious lunch. After lunch meeting the confreres individually was the agenda which went on till late evening. At 7.45 pm the entire community met for evening prayer in community room, followed by the concluding conference and Report by the Regional. At 8:30 pm there was a fellowship meal.

The day came to an end late night at 10.00 pm when Fr. Regional had to say goodbye. Before leaving Fr. Regional personally addressed the Boarders and the community thanking each and every one for the memorable hospitality that he received during his visit, he then assured his prayers and gave God’s blessing to all present.

Indeed the visit of Fr. Regional to Bosco Boys Home was a day to remember for all.
