BORIVILI, SEPTEMBER 7, 2010: Gokulashtami with its funfilled Dahi Handi was celebrated at Bosco Boys Home, Borivili on September 2, 2010 amidst song and dance and building a human pyramid to mark the birth of Lord Krishna.
Students of MORD, HOSPITALITY (SANKLAP) and our own Boarders and Day scholars of BOSCO BOYS HOME participated whole heartedly in this event. The fun filled event started at around 2:00pm, with boys and girls dancing on the DJ music.
It was remarkable to watch Catholics, Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus standup shoulder to shoulder supporting each other to form the human pyramid. Finally a Tribal boy reached the top to break the pot.
At that moment there was no difference of Religion, Caste, Language and Class. They only felt they were as brothers and sisters. If we could only build a prosperous India, a peaceful India standing shoulder to shoulder irrespective of our Religion, Caste, Class and language, it will be Heaven on Earth.
