WADALA, SEPTEMBER 22, 2010: On September 5, 2010, an Interschool Quiz Competition was held by the Rotary Club of Bombay Mulund Valley. Three of our students - Mater Dhruv Patel and Master Soham Shah of Std X and Master Moneel Bheda of Std IX represented the school.
The school stood third among the top eighteen schools in Mumbai and scored an amazing ninety points. Our team was slow out of the blocks, but gained speed gradually to give a tough competition to the other participating teams. They almost snatched victory from the jaws of defeat as the scores of the teams of three schools, namely St Joseph's, Apeejay Nerul and Chimayananda International, were tied at ninety points. Our team secured the third place in the tie breaker that followed.
In the DSO Chess Tournament held on September 13, 2010, Nimish Doshi of Std. VIII A, stood sixth overall from over two hundred participants and qualified for the district level competition in the U/14 category. This is indeed a proud achievement for the school and the school chess coach, Mr. Ketan Bharucha
Way to go, boys!
