WADALA, OCTOBER 4, 2010: Shelter Don Bosco in honour of Gandhi jayanthi organized a ‘Peace’ rally from shelter Don Bosco - Vital Mandir -- Auxillum and back to shelter on October 2, 2010 at 10:00 am.
Elite personality from the city i.e. Mr. and Mrs. Negi, (hockey coach) Ms Deepal Shaw (actor) along with few other NGO’s participated in the peace rally. The personality of Gandhi was portrayed through a PowerPoint and Mr. Negi and Fr. Rector in their message emphasized on peace and personality of Gandhi.
The rally was headed by shelter boys, presenting themselves in the personality of the father of the nation and other religious personality showing harmony among different religion. The rally was conducted at the apt time after the verdict of Babri Majid and Ram Mandir issue. The rally proceeded without any slogan but the message of ‘peace’ was put on pluck cards. Roses were distributed on the way as a sign of peace.
The Matunga police supported the rally by their presence. Thanks a lot to all those who made this event a success.
