NASHIK, DECEMBER 3, 2010: Don Bosco exhorted his sons to spread the message of God’s love through the various forms of communication. We, his sons at Divyadaan, were fortunate to have been invited by Mrs. Sheila Sardeshmukh, of the Akashwani Kendra - 101.4 frequency, Nashik to present a radio programme based on the Nativity Story of our Lord. The radio play was based on the commentary of the Kristhpurana written by Fr. Nelson Falcao.
The brothers sacrificed a lot to practice for this event. The excitement kept building as the days of the recording kept inching closer. Each of twenty three young, dynamic brothers, involved in the programme, had different roles to play in the completion of the venture. Some contributed by singing while others accompanied them with their musical instruments.
The brothers were thrilled as they entered the recording station. For most of them it was a once in a life time experience. As the sound check commenced excitement filled the atmosphere. The brothers gave in their best shot and they enjoyed the experience. Even the sound engineers were amazed at the precision at which the brothers completed the task at hand.
A Community grows when confreres live and share their joys and sorrows together as one heart and one soul. A community venture of this magnitude surely brought our confreres closer. We hope that this bonding which has led to the spreading of the message of Christ’s love may bear fruit in the lives of the faithful.
To enjoy our hard work we request you to tune in to 101.4 fm on December 25 to share with us the message of the birth of Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of God’s promise of salvation to humankind.
