BORIVLI, MARCH 1, 2011: Don Bosco Technical Training Institute was proud to felicitate sixty four students with certificates on February 28, 2011. The students had completed their three months training program in Hotel Management and Catering in four sections namely Restaurant Service, Housekeeping, Production, and Bakery. Fr. Anaclette Dmello started this program for the marginalized, underprivileged, and the drop-out youth supported by Accenture & Vivanta by Taj President Hotel, and now carried on by Fr. Anthony Santarita. The function began at 3.00 pm with the welcoming of the dignitaries Mr. Malay Sheth (Manager Accenture), Ms. Kristyl Bhesania (Director Human Resources Upper Upscale Division), Mr. Sushil Tandon (Resident Manager Vivanta by Taj President Hotel), Mr. Marshal Dias (HR Vivanta by Taj President) Ms. Sunaina (HR Taj Blue Diamond Hotel, Poona) and Fr. Bastin Thomas (Administrator).
Fr. Bastin, on behalf of Fr. Anthony Santarita, expressed his gratitude to the partners Accenture and Taj President for their continuous support and help. He mentioned how Don Bosco Technical Training Institute was ready to reach out to the youth in providing livelihood. He wished the students success in their journey of life. The chief guests who were present motivated the students by sharing their joy and assured the students their help and support wishing them good luck.
Three students, then, shared their experience of the training program. The concluding part was the distribution of the certificate to the students which the students were anxiously waiting for. Mr. Dayanand Patil gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the Director Fr. Anthony Santarita. He expressed his gratitude to Fr. Anaclette Dmello, Mr. Melvin Pangya and his team from Jawhar Whada for the spontaneous help and support received in mobilizing the youth for the MoRD & Sankalp project, Ms Appolin (Housekeeping Faculty), Mr. Deepak Lala (Restaurant Service Faculty), Mr. Sunil Samant (Production Faculty) and Mr. Rajgopal (Bakery Faculty). A token of appreciation by Fr. Bastin Thomas was also given to Mr. Dayanand Patil for mobilizing and providing placement for the students of Batch-4. It was a wonderful evening and I am sure the students will never forget February 28, 2011.
