Catechetical Coordinator
MATUNGA, JUNE 26, 2011:The first North East Bombay Deanery Recollection for Sunday school and Regular School Teachers was held on June 26, 2011 in the Don Bosco Primary School Hall from 5.00 to 8.0 pm. In all ninety one teachers were present for the recollection. Fr. Wilfred D’Souza welcomed the catechists expressing his happiness to see the good representation. He encouraged them to attend all the three recollections planned during the year.
The animator for the evening was Fr. K.T. Emanuel. He conducted an enriching session by focusing on the theme of “Liturgy”, using a PowerPoint presentation and group discussion. A meaningful prayer service was conducted wherein all the catechists participated prayerfully. In conclusion each catechist was asked to put a pinch of incense into the fire as a sign of their eagerness to understand and participate fully in the celebration of the Liturgy. An hour before the Recollection began, ten Catechist Coordinators from the parishes and schools gathered to plan out the activities of the year. All the teachers who attended the recollection felt encouraged and supported. The evening came to an end with delicious dinner being served.
