BIS #2441 VALEDICTORY FUNCTION AT BOCO BOYS HOME

BORIVILI, JULY 8, 2011:Don Bosco Technical Training Institute felicitated eighty students who completed their three months basic training in Hotel Management, a certificate training program for the Marginalised, Underprivileged, and the Drop out Youth of Mumbai city. This was the fifth batch of project Sankalp funded by Accenture and knowledge partner ITC Wellcomgroup of Hotels.
  
In all ninety one students had registered out of which eighty students very devotionally attended the entire training, these students were trained in Restaurant service, Food Production, Bakery and Housekeeping. The students also went through twenty days On Job training programs in different hotels and Fast food outlets in Mumabi. On July 7, 2011 all the students met once again to collect their certificate for the training they had completed. The chief guest for the event was Fr. Michael Fernande's the Provincial. Fr. Anthony Santarita the Director of the Institute introduced the provincial and said that he was happy to see that another batch of young boys and girls have completed the course. Fr. Provincial then distributed a few certificates and wished success to all the students.
   
This program has helped the youth by providing them placements in five star Hotels, Fast food Restaurant’s, and Catering companies, many of our students have also got the opportunity to work abroad. The entire credit goes to Fr. Anthony Santarita who introduced this training program to cut off the unemployment that’s there amongst the youth of our city, Mr. Dayanand Patil who liaison's with the mobilization of the students, the Faculties and the staff of Don Bosco Technical Training Institute Bosco Boys Home for making Sankalp a great success.
