Lily NirmalThe Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Fr. Michael Fernandes the Provincial of the Mumbai Province. Members of the Salesian, Parish and School community were present for the Eucharist. It was a dual celebration one of the installation of the new Rector and the other of thanking the outgoing Rector Fr. Ivo Coelho for his selfless service. Fr. Provincial in his homily spoke about the responsibility and importance of the Rector. Later Fr. Provincial spoke about the good qualities of Fr. Nunes and that he would do well as a Rector. After the reading of the “Profession of faith” and the “Oath of fidelity” Fr. Provincial gifted the Rector’s manual and Key of the tabernacle to Fr. Nunes, as the Rector is the spiritual head of the community.
The Eucharist concluded with the vote of thanks given by both Fr. Coelho and Fr. Nunes.
