BIS #2492 FAREWELL TO OUR GERMAN VOLUNTEERS- WADALA

Patole Anthony
WADALA, AUGUST 6, 2011:
On August 4, 2011 it was time to bid adieu to our German volunteers Elias and Jonas.  Elias and Jonas landed on the Indian soil on August 20, 2010. Since then they were a part of the Shelter family.

Elias and Jonas whole heartedly organized the games and activities for the camp. They headed the English camp during the summer vacations and believed in enculturation, which was seen in their adoption of Indian culture, language, food and in the various situations in and out of Shelter. They were always ready to help when asked by the management or the administrative staff.

In their last few words, they encouraged the boys to concentrate on their studies, to aim high and achieve success in life.  The boys along with the staff and management gave both the volunteers a grand farewell, through their words, address, dance, power point presentation and hugs.   Fr. Rector thanked both of them for the marvellous work they did in the whole year, and appreciated their hunger for knowledge.

We wish Elias and Jonas all the best for their future endeavours.
