NASHIK, SEPTEMBER 3, 2011: A seminar for the parishioners of Don Bosco Church, Nshik and St. Dominic Savio Church, Satpur was held on August 28, 2011. The Resource persons were Mr. Lawrence D’Souza, National Secretary of All India Catholic Union and Vice-President of Bombay Catholic Sabha, and Mrs. Janet D’Souza, Director of Maulana Azad Minority Finance Corporation, Government of India.
The parishioners were informed about the aims and objectives of the Bombay Catholic Sabha and were also made aware of their Minority Rights regarding various projects and schemes for the needy, like Educational Loan Scheme, Development Loan Scheme, Self-Help Groups (Mahila Mandals), and others. The seminar also provided details on how one can apply for the various schemes. The forms of the various schemes were then distributed to the different Parishes for applications.
As the function came to an end the Resource persons were thanked for the valuable information they provided. We now hope of getting the various schemes worked out for the minority Christians all over the Diocese of Nashik.
