BHINGAR, OCTOBER 5, 2011: St. John the Baptist, Bhingar organized the five a side football knockout tournament. Twenty three teams took part in this tournament.  The games began after the Sunday Mass, with a demonstration game between John the Baptist Bhingar teenagers and the Don Bosco Savedi, which the former won by one goal.
On the first day, knock out rounds were held and on the second day, the quarter and semi finals were finished. A tree planting ceremony was held.
The Chief Guest for the event was Miss Minakshi Shekawat, Chief Executive officer, a new comer to the Bhingar Corporation Office. Miss Shekawat handed over the prizes to the winners the Police Winning Team, and the Shivajivians were runners up. Don Bosco Shelter, Wadala also participated but were eliminated after the first round. Individual prizes were given to the best goalkeeper, shooter and player. Fr. Michael Bansode convened the event, Bro. Ramesh worked on the logistics and Fr. Blaise was referee for some of the games.  The youth and the parishioners actively participated in the event and made sure it ended up a success and a memory for the future.
Bhingar campus has not seen so many young people and spectators assemble in the premises at any such time in the past.
