PUNE, OCTOBER 07, 2011: On October 2, 2011, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti Day, the "AIDS Awareness Cell" celebrated its fifth year. This cell is run by the Pune District Congress Committee, at Congress Bhavan, Shivajinagar, Pune – 5.
On this occasion the Pune District Congress Committee invited the NGOs who work for HIV/AIDS awareness in the community and for HIV positive people, to honour their work. To respect the work of the trust Rev. Fr. George Miranda, Director of Bosco Samajik Sanstha honoured Advocate Abhay Chhajed, Pesident – Dist.Congs.com and Mrs. Sangita Devkar (Secretary) by giving them a trophy, shawl and bouquet.Congress M.L.A. Mr. Ulhas Pawar, Mr. Ramesh Bagve and many other congress leaders were present for this program.
