WADALA, OCTOBER 07, 2011:  The Cultural Cell of Our Lady of Dolours, Wadala, organized an Elders' Day for the Senior Citizens of our parish, on Sunday October 02, 2011. The elders came trooping in from 11.00a.m. onwards and the early birds secured the spot prizes. The program began only after the 10.30a.m mass.
Fr. Vivian welcomed the gathering and mentioned that we were happy to see eighty elders gather together to give themselves a good time through the morning. Cleopatra then trooped in to give the elders a taste of what it was to walk like a mummy! The kids from the J.B. Vacha School entertained the elders to a couple of ballet dances. The comperes, Michelle and Eugenia stole the show, dressed as two identical twins complete with matching 'Malinga type' head-gear. Ronnie Gomes and his troupe entertained the crowd with some oldies, which the crowd joined in lustily. There were a couple of games, followed by a wedding march and a dance session. The program ended with sumptuous lunch and distribution of a souvenir CD of the old hits prepared by Ronny Gomes.
