BORIVLI, OCTOBER 08, 2011: Three years back the famous movie "Lage Raho Munna Bhai" tried to awake the Gandhian philosophy and left a deep impact. The principles of the Mahatma are indeed too difficult to emulate and imbibe in today's world. But the teachers of Don Bosco want to re-instil the true principles of Mahatma Gandhi at the primary level.
The teachers developed different concepts to remind the children through banners, placards, story narration and quiz based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Rendering of the songs to convey the principles of Ahimsa (Non-violence), Truth and Satyagraha was done through these mediums. The audio and the video perception left a deep impact on the students mind. The children were shown a documentary on Mahatma Gandhi. The grand finale of Gandhi House (Blue House) week long programme had the depiction of a march of people from various communities uniting in a common cause with the Father of the nation leading. Our juniors joined us with the hymn "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram" and "Vaishnav Jan" reflecting the three values:
1. See no evil
2. Hear no evil
3. Speak no evil
The dedication shown by the children was immeasurable and true, straight from their hearts. May the teachers be successful in awakening the inner true self in every child, who would be a responsible, committed and truthful citizen of tomorrow.

Whom I remember every time in my short life span.
