WADALA, NOVEMBER 15, 2011: After the meticulous planning and hard work of Diwali Mela, the shelter boys moved towards Chinchwad for a week (November 6 - 12) 'Grooming for life'. Mr. Mir Ranjan Negi inaugurated the weeks Program consisting of sports and personality development on November 7, at 9:00 am
The boys were divided into two groups namely Football and Hockey. Mr. Negi made available the late Major Dhayanchand Stadium (Polygrass) Pimpri, Pune for training in Hockey. Mr. Ibrahim Mulla and Mr. Blyton Dias took charge of the hockey and football coaching respectively. All the boys had their fitness session at the stadium.
The afternoon was dedicated to personality development. The Chaitanya group Pune sent their personnel daily to groom the Shelter boys. Resource persons like, Dr. Rohan and Dr. Shubhangi dealt with stress management, Ms. Areeti on Etiquette and Team Building, Mr. Ronny George on Addiction and Dr. Sonawane on Sex Education.
On November 12, the group enjoyed Pune Darshan , visiting places like Aga Khan Palace, Mahaji Shindhiya memorial, Katraj Snake Park , Parvati hill, Sarasbaug and Shaniwarwada.
Thanks to the communities of Don Bosco Chinchwad, Yerwada, Management of St. Andrew's High school, Chaitanya Group and many benefactors because of whom this camp was a success and a memorable one.
