BORIVALI, FEBRUARY 07, 2012: Bosco Nite is here again, the day for the parishioners of St. John Bosco (Borivali), to gather together to celebrate their Parish Feast.
The main Celebrant for the feast mass was Fr. Ajoy Fernandes, Vice Provincial (Mumbai). In his homily he spoke on the life and journey of John Bosco. The Eucharist was made more meaningful by the liturgy prepared by the Parish Pastoral Council Members, the melodious singing of the Confirmation Candidates and the participation of the parish community.
The get - together started with a bang at 6 pm sharp, the parishioners representing their community were present, in the various colours that were alloted to them to identify the community they belong to. The theme for the evening was "India against Corruption", and all the communities had prepared well and were very impressive in their presentation of the message, this made it difficult for the judges to decide the result. Ultimately we had a winner; the Gorai III community bagged the first place. This presentation was followed by games organised by the youth group to keep the crowd moving. The parishioners mingled around in joyous fellowship and enjoyed the foot tapping music too. The caterers ensured that all had their fill by the delicious and sumptuous meal that they set before us. The grand celebration came to an end with a big smile on everyone's face as they left the school premises with a promise to come for the next celebration….
