MATUNGA, FEBRUARY 11, 2012: A Special Eucharist and Blessing for Std. X and XII youngsters along with their parents was organized at the Shrine of Don Bosco's Madonna, on February 05, 2012 at 12.00 noon by Don Bosco Youth Services (DBYS), Matunga. The main celebrant for this event was Fr. Crispino D'Souza, Principal of Dominic Savio, Andheri and was con-celebrated by Fr. John Samala, Fr. Lloyd Rodrigues, Fr. Roy Noronha, Fr. Glenford Lowe and Fr. Brian Moras.
The noon of this day saw approximately two hundred youngsters come along with their parents to seek God's blessings through this meaningful Eucharist organized for them t as they prepare themselves for their Board exams.
Fr. Crispino in his homily through his own personal example elaborated on the anxiety and expectancy during this phase of exam preparation on the youngsters and their parents.
Post-Communion, each child was blessed personally by the priests along with their parents and each one was presented a CD which contained hymns to Don Bosco. They also received a note of reflection by Fr. Glenn and a prayer before and during their examination.
Giving the vote of thanks Fr. Brian asked the youngsters to trust themselves, Trust God and work hard. He further gave handouts eliciting information of the youngsters so that we could keep in touch and inform them about the programs at the Youth Services.
Each participant left the Shrine feeling light-hearted and determined with God's help to do well in the Board exams.
